Caitlin Clark Fined $1,000 After Picking Up Sixth Technical Foul of the Season

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been fined $1,000 after being assessed her sixth technical foul of the 2026 WNBA season during Saturday’s matchup against the New York Liberty.

The technical came after Clark voiced her frustration following a no-call on what she believed was an illegal screen. Officials assessed the technical as Clark continued to argue the play.

Under WNBA rules, players are automatically fined after accumulating six technical fouls during the regular season. Clark now sits just two technical fouls away from an automatic one-game suspension, which is triggered after a player receives eight technical fouls.

Clark’s competitive fire has been a defining characteristic throughout her basketball career, but it has also led to several animated exchanges with officials this season. Despite the fine, the Fever will be hoping she can avoid further technicals as Indiana continues its push through the second half of the season.
